Museum puts the word in place of Marvel in the franchise’s logo. A word that descends from the muses borrows the sign of a studio built on characters, powers and recurring stories.

Both a museum and a franchise make figures available for recognition. Selection, repetition and presentation tell an audience what belongs to the collection before it meets a single work.

In the logo, entertainment announces an institution of art. The substitution is seen at once; the questions take longer: who is included, whose story returns, and what familiarity lets us overlook.
