The Wendy Version, released on 24 October 2025, is a new mix of my Half-Speed Version, inspired by the electronic textures of Wendy Carlos. Both play Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, Op. 35 at half speed, performed in real time on keyboards with digital and analogue synthesisers, in several passes; neither is a MIDI render. I wanted a vrai faux, the simulacrum of an orchestra, and it took more than two years of experiment. The four movements last an hour and forty-one minutes. Track 1
