GBAHS0104435 is the International Standard Recording Code of ‘Love Theme’, the music Vangelis wrote for Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner (1982). This canvas opens the series of eleven paintings I began in January 2026, in which each painting takes as its title the number under which its source is catalogued: an ISRC for a recording, an ISBN for a book, an EIDR or an ISAN for a film. On a Venetian red ground, a hand rests on a keyboard; I modelled it in charcoal and pastel pencil, in light and shadow, and the red holds the space around it. The code identifies a recording; the painting keeps one hand on the keys.
